Company
Chris Harris
Chris Harris has been choreographing and dancing in Denver for over three decades. Her unique blend of modern and jazz dance techniques coupled with her passion for architecture, math and science has led her to create work which appeals to audiences from across the spectrum. Always fascinated by creating structure and art, Chris holds both a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Environmental Dance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is currently Artist in Residence at the Denver School of the Arts; and on the faculty of Dance Kaleidoscope, Dance Legacy and A Living Arts Centre. She has choreographed for local theaters; been a guest lecturer at The Arts Institute of Colorado and CSU; choreographed for Denver University and the University of Colorado; designed many websites; and is the Artistic Director/Choreographer for Louder Than Words Dancetheatre and the Colorado Youth Danse Theatre in Denver and a co-director of the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop, the Assistant Artistic Director of Interweave Dancetheatre. Her current obsession is creating a system to record choreography using digital media and animation.

Julie Anderson
Julie studied dance education at Arizona State University and the University of Idaho; where she earned a B.S. in Dance in 2005. She also studied modern, ballet, and jazz dance technique through an internship/scholarship at Broadway Dance Center in NYC where she performed at BDC, DanceSpace and the Brooklyn Arts Exchange. She has performed choreography by various artists such as Elina Mooney, Henning Rubsam, Doris Humphrey, Greg Halloran, and Bill Evans. Julie owes her love of dance and performance to Barb Russell, her forever friend and mentor.
Victoria Spangler
Victoria Spangler
Victoria, in her second season with LTW, is a Colorado native, who received her early training at the David Taylor Dance Theatre, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance and the International Ballet School, along with attending intensive programs at Colorado Ballet, and the University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, PA. She has studied under Nikoloz Makhateli, James Clouser, Michelle O’Brien, and Milton Meyers, among others. In 2009, Victoria received her B.F.A. from CU Boulder, where she performed in works by Gabriel Masson, Onye Ozuzu, and Erika Randall and co-produced her B.F.A. concert. Victoria spent time performing with the Wichita Ballet Theatre and Friends University, and performed multiple seasons as an apprentice company member with the David Taylor Dance Theatre. Victoria has been teaching classical ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, modern and jazz dance technique classes throughout the Denver Metro area since 2007. She currently teaches at Premier School of Dance, and at Encore Dance Studio.


Joe Jensen
As a kid, Joe enjoyed dancing to the music he frequently heard from his parents. However his formal training in dance didn’t start until he was sixteen starting with Tap at the small Step In Style dance studio in Lakewood, CO. At the University of Northern Colorado, he began training in Modern, Ballet, and Jazz while pursuing a degree in Theatre Studies and a minor in Dance. After joining 8th Street Contemporary Dance Company based out of the Greeley Conservatory of Dance, he received valuable technical training and a discovery of his true passion for dance. Since moving to Denver, CO in 2009 Joe has been a guest artist for Danse Etoile Ballet, and a company member of Davis Contemporary Dance Company, and Hannah Kahn Dance Company.

Tiffany Best
Tiffany began her dance training at Dance Works Conservatory in Kansas City, KS. She danced for DWC's student performing company and toured in Germany, Austria and France. She started teaching at the age of 16 and was a founding member of the neo-classical ballet company, Storling Dance Theater. Moving to Chicago, Tiffany attained a scholarship at Gus Giordano's and performed with numerous dance companies including Nucleus Dance Theater and Valerie Alpert Dance Company. Tiffany moved to Ann Arbor, MI where she was able to dance with the Terpsicoreal Kitchen and train with and teach for Peter Sparling, former principal dancer for the Martha Graham Dance Company. Tiffany accepted the position of Artist in Residence at Benedictine College, and later to Denver. Tiffany is grateful for her three bundles of joy, Jozef (Bubba), Eva (Diva) and Charlie (Boo boo) and for all of the help and support that family and friends have generously provided, especially her husband Lenny (and our wonderful babysitters), in order for her to continue to pursue her passion for dance. She is blessed by this opportunity to perform again and is honored to be a part of Davis Contemporary Dance Company and Louder than Words Dancetheatre.


Kylene SanMiguel
Kylene studied dance at the University of Northern Colorado, since then she has trained at the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop and has performed with Independent World Finalist Colorguards Opus X and Signature. She is the current dance instructor and choreographer for Signature Colorguard and Legend HS Colorguard. This is her second season with LTW Dancetheatre.



Sarah Weaver
Sarah Weaver, a Colorado native, trained locally and graduated with a B.A. in Dance and Kinesiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001. Sarah has danced with the Boulder Ballet, Interweave Dance Theatre, CU Opera, and as a guest artist for various and sundry local choreographers. She has served as faculty for the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop and has taught for many area dance studios over the years. Always in pursuit of that perfect balance between art and science, Sarah took a brief hiatus from performing to attend nursing school, and now holds a B.S. and M.S. in Nursing from the University of Colorado at Denver. In her “day job”, she works as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the emergency department at the Children’s Hospital. Sarah would like to thank her amazing family for their support of her careers.

Jen Hightower
Jennifer Hightower grew up in Fort Collins, CO, where she began her dance training at the Mountain Dance Center. She went on to study at the Canyon Concert Ballet school, the American Dance Festival, Bates College Dance Festival, Oberlin Dance Festival, and the Glenwood Springs Dance Festival. In 2004, she graduated with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Colorado, Boulder. While attending school, she had the opportunity to travel to Albuquerque, NM and Bellingham, WA to perform at the American College Dance Festivals. After graduation, she moved to Seattle and studied at the Velocity Dance Center, danced and performed with Andre Bouchard and Walrus Performance Productions, Contact Improvisation artist Alia Swersky for the Northwest New Works Festival, and Juliet Waller-Pruzan. Jen moved back to Colorado in 2007 and joined the Hannah Kahn Dance Company. This is her first season with Louder Than Words Dance Theatre, and she is very excited to be dancing with such a talented group of performers!
Jesse Werner is a Colorado native. She trained in many styles of dance throughout her childhood. She received a degree in writing and philosophy from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Recently, Jesse has performed with 3rd Law Dance/Theater and Ballet Ariel. She is very excited to have the chance to perform with Louder than Words Dancetheater. Jesse would like to thank the universe for providing all the opportunities that are right for her.
Tara McFarland
Tara has studied dance for 12 years, pursuing her dance degree at Mills College, Arizona State Univerisity, and the University of Idaho where she received her Bachelor of Science, Dance in 2007. With a predominantly modern and jazz background, she has training in the techniques of Humphrey-Weidman, Martha Graham, Luigi Jazz, Improvisation, Cechetti Ballet, and Vaganova Ballet, as well as the unique styles of Molissa Fenley, Katie Elliot, Kim Robards, and of course Chris Harris. She has previously performed in works by 3rd Law Dance/Theatre, Kim Robards Dance, Victoria Uris, Alan Sener, Amy O'Neal, Lineage Dance Company, Anne Westwick, and Doris Humphrey. Currently an instructor of ballet, jazz, and hip hop at Westwoods Center of Performing Arts and Kinetic Arts Dance Studio, Tara's future includes graduate studies of Dance Pedagogy to pursue the life of a professional dance academic and educator. She would like to thank her family for their relentless support and the LTW cast and crew for sharing their artistry with her. Thank you for being here.
Meredith Black
Meredith is a native of Oklahoma City. Her professional career started at age 10 when she began performing with Theatre Upon a StarDanceSwan. She graduated from Classen School of Advanced Studies and the Visual and Performing Arts in 2002 with an emphasis in Visual Art. She went on to receive a BAFA in Studio Art and a BA in Dance from the University of New Mexico in 2006 and 2007. In 2008 Meredith returned to Oklahoma briefly to work with Perpetual Motion Modern Dance of Oklahoma before moving to Denver. This is her third season with LTW Dancetheatre.
Stefanie Kitty Bloch recently moved to Colorado from Germany where she attend the State Ballet School of Berlin and graduated from the Fürth Ballet Center as a Dancer and Dance Teacher. She performed for two seasons at the Staatstheater in Nürnberg, and has danced in the Musicals Cats, the Radio F Musical night and A Chorus Line and the modern Productions of The Dead City, Body-Language, The Little Prince and more than five Gala productions at the Fürth City Theater. She was also honored with an invitation to be a guest dancer and perform in a special production of The Magic Flute at the Grand Opera Bordeaux in France. She is very excited to be starting her American career with such an incredible and talented group of people at Louder than words Dancetheater.
Page Jenkins
Page has been a member of Louder Than Words Dance Theatre since 2005 and is honored to be a part of the company. Page graduated from the University of Colorado in spring 2009 with a BA in Dance. She is currently dancing with 3rd Law Dance/Theater and Interweave Dance Theatre. Page also teaches for Colorado Ballet’s Dance Renaissance program, the Denver School of the Arts and is the Assistant Artistic Director of Colorado Youth Dance Theatre. She would like to thank Andy, her family, Chris and Earl for their constant support.
