Support the Arts!!

Welcome to the world of Louder Than Words Dancetheatre! LTW celebrates excellence in dance by creating art in motion, providing a home for movement performance, and facilitating a dialogue between artists and the communities in which they exist. That is a big mission and we need your help to bring it to fruition.

Support Us
-General Operating Funds: One of the primary organizational goals of Louder Than Words is to pay our salaried staff, dancers and design team a living wage for the work they do. Currently, our dedicated, professionally trained ensemble makes roughly 25% of minimum wage for the hours they contribute to productions. Our teachers make, on average, less than $5/hour.  Our company members are willing to work for the love of art but we believe it’s time to shift that way of thinking. They deserve to be paid for the work that they do.  Our classes pay for the bulk of our studio rent; our rehearsal time is not, however, consistently offset.

-Ongoing funding for our evening-length productions and a touring arm of the company. We currently produce two shows seasonally and we plan to add a third production featuring choreography by our company members. We will also add works by guest choreographers to our productions.

While we always welcome donations in dollar form there are many ways you can help us achieve our goals.
-We are working on developing a unique, first-of-its-kind recording system for choreography which incorporates audio, video, animation and customized text. LTW would welcome any contributions to this effort be they in expertise or funds.

- A demographically targeted email list to augment our current email list.

- We have an open search for additional board members. We are seeking individuals passionate about dance in the Denver-Metro area who can contribute substantially our mission. Contributions can range from volunteer hours, legal or business expertise, community relations, direct or indirect financial impact to other intangible--but measurable-- impacts. The LTW board is a working board with an advisory capacity.

- A permanent home for our company. Our most substantial long-term goal is to buy a building in Denver and restore/renovate/transform it into a world-class venue designed for movement performance. While there are many fantastic performing venues in Denver--ranging from the DPAC to small theatres like The Bug-- none of them are designed with movement performance in mind. To find such a venue, one must travel to The Dairy in Boulder. Denver deserves and can support a world-class movement performance venue. This space would act as the homebase for LTW classes and performances as well as draw local, national and international companies to Denver.

- A wide-angle lens & a video projector (contact us about these as we are looking for something specific)

- Silent (and "Louder Than Silent") auction items in the form of goods or gift certificates

- Gift cards to: fabric stores, Kinko’s, Costco, Home Depot, Ace or other hardware stores, Target, Whole Foods (or other natural foods groceries), eateries around the DU area (Tokyo Joes & Subway tend to be our favorites during tech & show times but we’re really not picky), Discount Dance Supply—www.discountdance.com, Norcostco Theatrical Supply—www.norcostco.com, Barbizon Lighting Company—www.barbizon.com

If none of this suits your taste, you can always place an ad in our performance program. Ads run from $35-$110. This is a great way to support the arts and your business at the same time.

Thank you so much for your support!
